One UI 8 October 2025: Samsung’s mega plan for Galaxy users worldwide

Starting September 15, Samsung’s One UI 8 expansion is running seamlessly, and the next wave for global users is expected on October 2nd. Meanwhile, what was feared has just apparently happened with the One UI 8 rollout.

Although the One UI 7 was delayed for a long time, the expansion also happened very slowly. One UI 8 rollout, so far, is considered the best-paced in recent years, but it seems to have been hit by what nobody wanted to see.

Users of the Galaxy S25 series around the world have started getting the One UI 8 update. The company has also started sequential rollout for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Galaxy S24 series, S24 FE, and some more devices.

Galaxy Z Fold SE put One UI 8 in headlines

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold SE, which was released a little after the Z6 series in China and Korea, has also begun to receive a major upgrade. The phone was shipped in limited quantities, and nobody is giving much importance to that rollout.

Meanwhile, it has become a breaking yet disappointing news for millions of Samsung fans awaiting the One UI 8 update. Rumors suggest the company has suspended the rollout of the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy Z Fold SE in Korea.

As the release plug has been pulled, it must have been caused by some reason. The cause needs to be investigated, but it has the potential to delay the update’s availability for the models scheduled for the next waves in the roadmap.

The Korean tech giant has just dropped the Galaxy S23’s One UI 8 update in its home ground. However, the Global expansion is still under uncertainty as the flagships were sold in millions of units around the world.

The third wave of Global rollout is likely on October 2nd. Eligible devices include the S23 series, Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, and some Galaxy A phones. If the Fold SE’s One UI 8 problem worsens, updates for these devices may be put on hold.
